Balance

33thou is a great tool that can help you appreciate and influence just how much you can get out of your life. But the harsh reality is, there is no simple guide entitled “Your Ideal Life and How to Live It”!
In pursuing your destiny, you continually have to balance the future you want against the amount of time, effort and resources that you are prepared to put into making it happen.

Alas, there is also no fairy with a magic wand waiting in the wings to make it any easier! Again, the more you put into to living your life, the more you’ll get from it. Remember always that it is your determination, commitment, enthusiasm, and sheer effort that will get you to where you really want to be.

Although 33thou can help you to pursue your dreams, it simply cannot override the basic rules of existence – such as the laws of physics, or the odds of you winning the lottery, the legal system, etc.

Fundamentally, 33thou helps you to define, develop, apply, and refine your own, personal stockpile of ‘enabling assets’ – your knowledge, skills, abilities, awareness, networks, etc., and then, in a complex and often confusing world, use all of these to pursue your dreams.
As your stockpile grows, the challenge ahead of you should begin to diminish. However, your overall level of success will always reflect your level of engagement with 33thou and how you make it deliver what you want from it.

33thou offers a practical methodology to help you reach your goals, but only you can choose how you live your life.

The degree of complexity in peoples’ lives varies from person to person, and one methodology cannot provide a solution that serves everyone equally. 33thou is no exception to this rule.
33thou cannot and does not tell you what to do with your life. It is not a ‘one size fits all’ guarantee of any specific outcome. It merely suggests a practical and structured approach to help you identify your ambitions and understand how you might then achieve them.

As you start to deliver your 33thou goals you will probably find that they bring about personal lifestyle changes. People who are close to you may notice these changes, and may even be affected by them.

People react to change in different ways. Many won’t care much about your changes. They might even welcome and support them. Some may be uncomfortable with what you do and consequently, may decide to distance themselves from you. Others might even resent your changes, maybe through jealousy, anger, or by feeling threatened by them – to the extent that they might try to interfere with them, or even prevent them.

Therefore, as you make your 33thou journey, be prepared to explain changes in your lifestyle and behaviour to those close to you, so that they can understand and better appreciate your reasons for introducing them.

In life, there are always degrees of risk and uncertainty which can threaten the successful achievement of your goals. Address such threats rationally, and manage them with due care. This is especially the case with risks which threaten the safety, well-being, or the financial security of both you and others around you.

33thou encourages you to be brave in pursuing your dreams but, for each goal, you should ensure that you identify, understand, and assess any material, associated risks. You can then plan in advance how to deal with each of these should they subsequently appear. Otherwise, they might wreck your overall chances of success and result in a waste of your precious time.

Being brave means both having an appreciation of the risks involved and respecting your own limitations.

If your current lifestyle matches that of “couch potato” or a sloth, introducing changes into your lifestyle might test you – physically and mentally. Becoming more active in anything requires more effort on your part. Effort over a prolonged period requires “stamina“. Stamina is ‘the ability to continue to do something over time’. Stamina is not just about being physically able to cope, its also about being mentally able.

Consequently, as you begin your 33thou adventure, you will need to learn to pace yourself carefully. You might even consider introducing some form of exercise into your life to help you stay on top. This doesn’t necessarily mean joining a gym, or running two miles each day (but it could!). Gentle, regular physical exercise, such as yoga or walking, is reported to have benefits.
(Do check first with your medical advisor before you start, if you are not used to doing any regular exercise.)

Doing puzzles, such as crosswords, ‘sudoku’, quizzes, etc., also helps exercise your brain, apparently. Sharing any forms of exercise with other people might increase the fun even more!

The reason for mentioning this is that changes in your life can sometimes raise your exposure to ‘stress’. We could all do without stress, and you would probably prefer not to go there. If you look up ‘exercise’ and ‘stress’ online, experts explain how exercise can help you to both relax and keep your stress levels in check.

33thou is all about you introducing and managing exciting changes in your life. To do this and stay healthy, you need to be prepared so that when changes do happen you can handle them. After working so hard to achieve each of your successes, you want to have the energy to enjoy them all!

Whatever you decide to do to help you keep going, make it fun, enjoy it, and try to stay positive!! And, remember, there’s a lot to be said for “laughter being the best medicine”!

It should go without saying that, when planning your future, always aim to stay on the right side of the law. Losing a huge chunk of your 33thou days either by having to serve time behind bars, or losing a pile of cash paying fines is guaranteed to put a big hole in your plans!

None of this means that you shouldn’t let your dreams soar and fly. Nor should it put you off pursuing every single one of them. The only limit to your ambitions should be the limit of your imagination.
Set out to test just how far you can push back and overcome every boundary! However, you will need to keep in touch with reality in whatever you decide to do, and even be prepared to accept that some boundaries will always prevail.

Everything else, however, faced with your unyielding passion, is at your mercy. Over time, you can develop, practice, and improve your wealth of enabling assets so that you will come to know and understand exactly what it takes to make Great things happen in your life!
Together with your 33thou days, this will mean that you Can and Will be a winner!
